Looking for a beautiful place to walk, swim, kayak, paddle a canoe across the lake, we recommend Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center. Open year round and just a 15 minute drive from Creekwood Farm. Lake Junaluska has been a main focus in Haywood County since 1913. Creekwood Farm guests may use their pool, library, savor a cup of coffee in their coffee shop, or attend a Sunday morning church service. There is a 3.8-mile walking trail around the lake, seasonal boat rides, a playground area for young children, two museums, a swimming pool, miniature golf, shuffleboard, and tennis. The Lake Junaluska Aquatic Center is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. The center is open to the public and includes an outdoor pool and boat rentals. Boats include canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board rentals. Tennis courts, mini golf and shuffle board are located nearby. Pool Hours & Information: Open from May 26, 2017 – September 4, 2017. Daily admission to the pool is $6 per person or $20 per family per day (4 or more people). Daily passes can be purchased in the Recreation Hut. Hours of Operation: Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday 1– 8 p.m.
Boat rentals are purchased from the Lake Junaluska Rec Hut in the Kern Center.

Boat and paddle board passes may be purchased at the Recreation Hut. Guests must present boat pass to Recreation Attendants at the beachfront and the attendant will assist them in getting the equipment onto the water.

The Summer Activity Pass is available for all persons interested in using our facilities and is valid May 26-September 4, 2017. Summer Activity Passes are available for purchase at the Bethea Welcome Center and at Junaluska Gifts & Grounds.
Non-Residents: $200 (up to 4 persons per family)
Additional $45 per person for families larger than 4 people; up to 6 people maximum

One of our favorite places for a great southern style breakfast is Pops Place located at 3253 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Ever heard of “cat head biscuits” Pop makes them and they are DELICIOUS! The pancakes are the size of the plate they are served on, and the home style potatoes are the best around. Looking for a great cigar shop in the area, we recommend the Good Life Cigar Shop & Coffee Lounge located at 2491 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, NC 28751 . Sit down for a smoke, relax, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the scenery of Maggie Valley. Our park owners Larry & Gary recommends the Monte Cristo cigar.
Looking for a unique store full of nothing you need but everything you want, then check out the Cabbage Rose store located at 3388 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, North Carolina. You can find the Rendezvous Restaurant and Lounge attached to the Maggie Valley Inn and Conference Center located on “The Coolest Corner in the Valley”. The Rendezvous Restaurant and the Inn are American owned and operated. Drop by and enjoy some of the best food in Western North Carolina.
No other place in the Smokies will you find the best mix of food like the southern fried chicken, ribs, tender steaks, pizza, hand breaded seafood and the best chicken tenders in the south. The Rendezvous atmosphere is a blend of fine dining and good old home town casual.

Right outside our campground is a great place to get a burger, shake, and fries; GiGi’s Burger Restaurant located at 4632 Jonathan Creek Rd. This is the place where flip flops rule and the atmosphere is laid back all year long. Try the taco salad or a Nathan slaw-dog you wont be disappointed. Just a quick walk from your campsite to get a GiGi Burger, the best around.
Frog Level Brewing has some of the smoothest craft beer to touch your tongue. From their Scotch Ale to their Tadpole porter and other fine recipes in between, you can get a pint of any of these flavors to drink in the tasting room. If you’re hungry, bring your own food and enjoy it with any of the fine handcrafted brews inside or on the back deck overlooking the flowing creek.
