Located in Waynesville’s Historic Frog Level, which served as the town’s industrial district from the late 1880s until the late 1940s, the warehouse was built between 1916 and 1924. Widely known throughout Waynesville as Boyd Wholesale Grocery for most of its years, they have preserved as many historical features as possible, which give the building a rustic nostalgia that makes everyone feel warm and cozy, like they’re somewhere they’ve been before. This historic space is now home to the café, espresso bar, and coffee roastery. One of our favorite places for a great southern style breakfast is Pops Place located at 3253 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Ever heard of “cat head biscuits” Pop makes them and they are DELICIOUS! The pancakes are the size of the plate they are served on, and the home style potatoes are the best around. Established in 1966, Joey’s Pancake House is a Maggie Valley landmark. With a history of serving top notch breakfasts and good old fashioned customer service Joey’s is a tradition with visitors and locals of our area. Larry & Gary highly recommend Joey’s for the best pancakes around.

Hair Works Salon 1410 Dellwood Rd. Waynesville, NC 28785 828-400-3646 – is where Larry and Gary both go for a hair cut. They highly recommend Don the barber. Right outside our campground is a great place to get a burger, shake, and fries; GiGi’s Burger Restaurant located at 4632 Jonathan Creek Rd. This is the place where flip flops rule and the atmosphere is laid back all year long. Try the taco salad or a Nathan slaw-dog you wont be disappointed. Just a quick walk from your campsite to get a GiGi Burger, the best around.
Frog Level Brewing has some of the smoothest craft beer to touch your tongue. From their Scotch Ale to their Tadpole porter and other fine recipes in between, you can get a pint of any of these flavors to drink in the tasting room. If you’re hungry, bring your own food and enjoy it with any of the fine handcrafted brews inside or on the back deck overlooking the flowing creek.
